Dreaming Up a New Story
 “O Lord, I will honor and praise your name, for you are my God. You do such wonderful things! You planned them long ago, and now you have accomplished them.” Isaiah 25:1 NLT
During these last hazy days of summer this is where you’ll find me most afternoons; stretched out right here in our backyard hammock. I show up with a notebook and pen ready to take dictation as I listen and pray and ponder the next tale to be told. Many long hours will follow once I move inside and begin tapping away on the laptop or at my desk computer. That’s when my eyes will get bleary and my neck will ache. But here in the hammock come the golden moments of new beginnings and hope-filled dreams.
My end-of-summer prayer for all of you, dear friends, is that you will find some dreaming time in a quiet spot where you can listen and sense the abiding presence of the Lord. He does such wonderful things!
