Robin Jones Gunn in Venice How It All Began...

You may have noticed that most of the stories I write are influenced by the people I’ve met and the adventures I’ve experienced around the world.

My love for travel began when I was eight. One of my aunts returned from Switzerland with a gift for me. It was a small wooden music box in the shape of a Swiss chalet. I found Switzerland on a map and began to wonder what people in that faraway land did all day. What did they wear? What language did they speak? What did they eat?

My curiosity birthed a passionate dream to go and see the rest of the world. Since that time, I’ve been blessed by God to experience that dream.

I’ve been to every state in the US except Alaska, Rhode Island and Kansas, as well as Baja California.

I’ve visited all the islands of Hawaii, plus Canada, England, Wales, Ireland, Scotland, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland, Latvia, The Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, France, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Italy, Capri, Ischia, Spain, The Canary Islands, The Czech Republic, Slovakia, Former East Germany, Australia, New Zealand, Mexico, and Brazil.

Through all my travels, I’ve marveled at what an amazing and beautiful world God has given us. And if He needed only six days to make all this . . . wow . . . what will heaven be like?

Travel Notes from Robin...

During the past few years I have been living a writer’s dream. As the popularity of the Sisterchicks novels grew, my publisher gave me a travel budget and sent me around the world in order to experience more “Sisterchicks Adventures”.

Along the way I learned a few things about the delight of traveling with girlfriends as well as a few practical tips that have made each journey better than the last.
